2015 | DEBT-FREE. 20 WEDDINGS. 180 SESSIONS. 8 STATES. FULL-TIME BUSINESS.

2015 Was MONUMENTAL for me personally + within my business. As I have been preparing this blog post, I am blown away with everything that has taken place in a single year. This year, the Lord has made himself clear in his provision & I believe he is only preparing me for what is to come.

This past year (2015),I have felt a strong urgency to be a good steward of what I have been given, especially financially. Through God’s provision and a faithful responsibility, ALL financial debt has been 100% erased from my name. I paid off just under $83,000 in student loan debt in April. If you are really interested in that story, read my blog post HERE. Once my student loans were paid off in April, I sold my Civic, ol’ Bessie, & invested in a 2012 CRV. Again, through God’s grace & favor, I have paid off my CRV loan this past December. You can also read about my investment in the CRV HERE. I have NO idea what 2016 will hold financially, but I know it sure feels good to be DEBT-FREE.

Aside from becoming debt-free, I experienced another overwhelming blessing. God had begun tugging at my heart and closing a door for me that I did NOT want to let go of. It was time for me to quit my day job. Since my freshman year of college, I worked part-time at the Richwood Bank. It was more than I could have ever asked for & they were SO good to me, but the Lord started to reveal to me that he had other plans for me. I feared loosing my security paycheck I received every two weeks, but it became VERY clear my time was up. He closed that door & I can’t even tell you what that following month looked like for me. My last day was October 1st & the remainder of that month included an overwhelming 50 sessions + 2 weddings. Read about “Quitting my Day Job” HERE !!!!

If all of this was not exciting enough, I was awarded Union County’s Favorite Photographer for the third year in a row. WOW! Talk about humbling. I truly don’t deserve any of these things I am writing about, but I definitely do NOT want to take them granted either.

As for Katie Lee Photography, I photographed 20 weddings & totalled 180 sessions !!!!!! I don’t even know how I did all of that on top of a part-time job, but it all happened & I’m just thankful my job includes a camera to document this crazy life of mine.

Below are images & highlights from 2015 through the life of Katie Lee. I’m sure I missed several moments, sadly. Two of my best friends had their first child & I got to go to the hospital to help welcome them into the world. Leah + Levi are both precious & I LOVE their mama’s so!! I had the JOY and privilege of traveling to 8 different states this year. I have a strong passion for traveling & I always pick new states to check off my list. 2015 included traveling to Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Arizona, Oregon, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Illinois.

Exciting news for my entire family this year was my parent’s purchase of the local dairy bar, now known as Coonie’s Cones & Cookin’ !!! Be sure to come visit this season!!!
